4 Things Every Parent Should Know Before Choosing A Dance Class

1. What is the dance studio environment?
   
   In this day and age it is hard to find a dance studio with conservative costumes, edited music and appropriate style of dance. At our studio we monitor all costume selections, edit our music and choreograph each dance to the highest standards. We instill values in our students and strive to make a difference in the life of a child. We are dedicated in providing a family, friendly environment for dance education, while building character and confidence that will last a lifetime.


2. Can I get immediate assistance and customer service?
   
   In many studios the teacher or the studio owner conducts classes and does the administration. By trying to do two jobs at once, the class may suffer as the teacher has to use class time for customer service issues, or the studio may have no customer service available if the teacher is in a class. To have a good experience it is important to choose a studio that can assist you with details like costumes or schedules, even if a teacher is occupied in a class. Our studio has office staff available, so you can get immediate assistance.


3. Does the studio take into consideration your busy schedule?
   
   Most dance studio’s only have one location so your options can be limited. We have 18 locations throughout the State of Alabama making it more convenient and a time saver for you. You can find us in your local schools, churches, community centers, and day cares. Not only does this save you time but it allows us to give back and better our communities. Also do you spend time looking for dancewear? At DSD call the office, place your order and your dancewear is delivered right to your dance class. We strive to provide you with convenience and excellence.


4. Why types of classes are offered?
   
   Other studios offer single dance style classes. At DSD we offer combination classes consisting of tap, jazz, ballet and hip hop. This will expose students to all styles of dance and allow them to become a well rounded dancer. We also have dance teams within the studio beginning with the Mini Dance Team and progressing to the Professionalettes. This gives the student the opportunity of setting and reaching their dance goals as they are promoted to the next level. Some studio’s have very expensive competitive teams and are very time consuming. We provide the opportunity for your child to perform without a great expense and allow time for your child to participate in activities outside of the dance studio.
